ALAMEDA DIVERSITY PROJECT
Students may grow up in culturally diverse environments, but have no knowledge about them. This can lead kids to be insensitive of others or believe that their culture is the most important.

We can normalize living in a diverse environment starting from a young age.
Through a carefully planned and integrated curriculum, we can teach students that the world consists of many cultures that coexist. These are fully implemented programs into the school curriculum, where each activity is scheduled weeks or even months in advance. This is to ensure that all the different cultures are covered and to make sure that those who are teaching the students are well informed on the subject. This will require educators to come in to talk to students around campus on a certain day, or educated teachers at the campus who can volunteer their time.

Too often, schools avoid topics of ethnic culture rather than embrace them.
